St. James' Episcopal School is a Four Star Program!

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our teachers and staff, in May 2012 St. James' Episcopal School earned the designation of "Four Star" program from Workforce Solutions Capital Area. To be a Texas Rising Star, SJES was required to meet quality requirements that exceed the state's minimum licensing standards, and that are designed to enhance the intellectual, physical, and social development of the children our care. St. James' Episcopal School Parent Activity Council

Thanks to those parents who attended the first whole school Parent Activity Council (PAC) Meeting Wednesday, September 11th.

We are happy to announce that Linda Reister, mom to Atticus in the Pre-K (Blue) Classroom, was elected the PAC President for the 2013 - 2014 school year! We are grateful for Linda and her service, and are looking forward to a great year.

A couple of activities to look forward to during the fall semester:

* Scholastic Book Club and Book Fair: Scholastic Book Club is a great way to purchase new books for your personal library and support SJES at the same time! You can shop using the flyers provided in the Magical Bin of Wonderment. Additionally, we are planning to host a Scholastic Book Fair at St. James' later this semester.

* Giving Tree: Before the Christmas holiday, the PAC will partner with a local organization to purchase gifts for families in need. Look for the tree with instructions for making a contribution in early December.

Members of the PAC will also be writing a more detailed description of duties for lead classroom parents. This semester, lead classroom parents will be working with teachers on the Fall Festival and Thanksgiving Celebration taking place in the classrooms.
